Welcome to the Department of Physics, Hanyang University homepage.


  Department of Physics begun as Mathematics and Physics Department of Hanyang Engineering College in 1955, before it has been a department in College of Natural Sciences since 1980.

  Currently, we have 16 regular faculty members and several research professors. The student body is about 200 with 130 in Undergraduate and 70 in Graduate for Master and Doctorate degrees.

  We have also seven Laboratories leading related fields from particle physics to surface science; Astro-Particle Physics Theory Group, New Fuctional Material and Device Research Group, Optics Group, Magnetism & Magnetic Films Lab, Plasma Physics Lab, Quantum-Function Research Lab, and Thin-film/Surface Science Lab.
