We will have a colloquium on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 pm at #123 in natural science building.
Speaker : Prof. HongJoo Kim (Kyungpook National University)
Title : "Crystal scintillator development for rare event searches"
Various crystal scintillators are developed with the aim to fulfill the requirement of different applications, these applications includes radiation detection, medical imaging (CT, SPECT, PET), homeland security, astrophysics, nuclear and high energy physics research so on. Fundamental properties of novel scintillators and crystal growth will be discussed. Application to KIMS and COSINE dark matter searches as well as AMoRE neutrinoless double beta decay experiment will be presented.
